IKA e-Hive provides a 'Constant Voltage' (voltage max. = 25 V) screening platform with a maximum of 24 reactions simultaneously (no individual control).
This efficient screening tool is recommended for early stage reaction discovery. For example, in order to quickly sort possible entries, e-Hive can run 24 reactions with different substrates under the intended reaction condition. Substrates will be considered promising as long as the desired product structure is observed from chemical analysis. For further optimization, users are advised scaling up the promising reactions to the platform of Single Vial Attachment or Carousel.
Note that a high-yield desired reaction is not guaranteed on e-Hive platform. The product yield on e-Hive indicates the proneness of the desired transformation for each substrate. Users are advised planning their further experiments accordingly.
The e-Hive package comes with stainless steel electrode outer (24 pcs.), graphite electrode inner (24 pcs.), and 24 mini stir bars. When the voltage value is set positive, inner electrode serves as anode and outer electrode serves as cathode. The polarity is opposite when the voltage value is set negative. Inner and outer electrodes made of different materials can also be purchased separately.
Please email ElectraSynWeb@ika.net for your preferred electrode material and shape (inner / outer), if they are not listed on our website.
e-Hive can be integrated with ElectraSyn 2.0 App, with the latest ElectraSyn 2.0 device software. Spare parts can be purchased on request.

IKA

Today's IKA factories were founded 1910 in Cologne as a trading company for pharmaceutical commodities Janke & Kunkel OHG. Starting in 1920, the company began to develop and manufacture laboratory and measuring instruments, electrolysis devices and other equipment for university and industrial laboratories. Today, the IKA Group has more than 900 employees at eight locations on four continents and is pleased about customers such as BASF, Bayer or Procter&Gamble. In most product groups, the IKA factories are the sovereign world market leader and a symbol of development and growth. Or as our new slogan puts it: "IKA - Designed to work perfectly.
