Temperature control units are devices used to precisely control the temperature of samples or experiments. They are used in various industries such as the chemical industry, the food industry, medicine and science.

A temperature control device in the laboratory usually consists of a thermostat and a container or chamber in which the samples are placed. The thermostat controls the temperature and keeps it constant at a predefined value. You will find a selection of temperature control units in our online shop under laboratory technology.

What does a temperature control unit do?

Temperature control units are often used in laboratories to control and keep the temperature of samples, solutions or reaction vessels constant. The temperature control unit removes the heat from the heat transfer medium and then returns the cooled medium to the circuit. Controlling or keeping the temperature constant is important to obtain accurate and reproducible results and to ensure that experiments are conducted unter controlled conditions.

Here are some of the main tasks that a temperature control unit performs in the laboratory:

  • Temperature control: The temperature control unit keeps the temperature constant and allows the precise setting and control of the desired temperature. It ensures that the samples or materials can be kept at a certain temperature during the experiment or test.

  • Temperature stability: A temperature control unit ensures high temperature stability to minimise fluctuations. This is important to achieve accurate and reproducible results, especially for sensitive experiments or high-precision measurements.
  • Different areas of application: A laboratory temperature control unis is used in various scientific fields, including chemistry, biology, pharmacy, materials science and others. It can be used in conducting experiments, cell cultivation, enzyme reactions, protein analysis, polymer processing, heat treatment of materials and many other applications.

What types of temperature control units are there?
